What to expect on your first visit
In most cases your first appointment will only take about thirty minutes. Some conditions such as motor vehicle accidents may require more time. After completing some required paperwork, the doctor will sit with you and discuss in detail the issue that brings you in to the office. After a thorough consultation, the doctor will perform an exam based on the information he has collected from you. If any further testing is required such as x-ray, MRI, ect., you will be referred to a nearby imaging center for the tests. If not, treatment can possibly begin on your first visit.
Subsequent visits
If any imaging or other diagnostic tesing was required on your first visit, your doctor will go over the results with you. You will be given treatment recommendations and the doctor will answer any questions that you may have. Any subsequent visits will not require as much time as a first visit.
